What others are saying:
"Having kids changes your camping game for sure. I remember the first family camping trip and I felt like I packed everything but the kitchen sink. It was so overwhelming to just have so much stuff. I missed the days of lite camping! The Easy Camp Cookbook is a game changer! This book really helped me better prep what to bring (and therefor what NOT to bring) so we can have a far more successful food experience while camping. I am new to using my dutch oven and I loved how easy this book made it! Now my kids want to help cook more camp food and we all can't wait to get back to camp cooking again soon!"

"So much more than a cookbook. I wish I'd had this book when my children were young. I made it such a chore to get everything ready for camping that I dreaded camping and we didn't go as often as I would have liked. This book gives specific ideas for food and what to prep at home to make the time camping more enjoyable. The layout and illustrations are well done. I enjoyed the upbeat writing style so much that I looked up the author's blog and have been following her. I received this book free from the publisher and wholeheartedly recommend it."

"A perfect gift for your camp/backcountry friend/loved one! I was excited to finally come across a camp cookbook as we recently started rooftop tent camping and hot dogs were getting old quickly. I wasn’t really sure what kind of content this would have, but wow- this cookbook is pure gold! First of all- it’s more than just recipes. Content and tips on building your camp “pantry”, different cooking methods, packing a cooler, Leave No Trace, and very user friendly legends that make the book easy to understand.
I love that it’s split up not only by meal, but also by car camping or backcountry camping. We recently tried the breakfast burritos and my husband and kids absolutely loved them. I’ve grown up in the outdoors, but having this as a resource has helped me focus on what pieces of the meal prep I can do at home, in advance, which saves time (& dishes) at camp and it has also helped me expand our more traditional camp menu.
I’m excited to try more of Amelia’s recipes and I look forward to gifting this cookbook to my friends and family!"

We have done the basic camping recipes before and frankly they get old and tired fast. This cookbook challenged me to branch out and try some new recipes. I’ve never used a Dutch oven before camping and when we go with our friends river rafting our friend prefers Dutch oven cooking. We tried the rolls and everyone was salivating smelling all the bacon. Was so yummy I decided to try it home after we got home from camping haha. The peppers and sausage recipe ended up being an awesome dinner side dish as well as left overs for breakfast. Great job giving tips and trick as well to refresh the ‘ol bag of tricks a parents sometimes needs while camping.
Camping food doesn't have to take so long to plan and prep. Many ideas in this book that are easy to prepare and easy to make. One favorite of ours this summer was the waffle cone parfaits!
We love this cookbook! In our family, there are some picky eaters and several food allergies. All of the recipes have been either already allergy friendly or easily adaptable and most importantly delicious.
To make things simple, we used to always rotate the same meals for camp. The recipes in here are easy to follow and makes meal planning easier. Just the other night I pulled the cookbook out to make a chicken dinner during as it was the first week of in person school for the kids and a busy week. This book packs small but is loaded with many recipes from breakfast to dessert.
We love using Amelia’s cook book for camping. Not only am I terrible at planning but I’m also not great at letting the kids help. Amelia’s recipes are easy to follow and my kids can actually help with easy to follow steps. My girls are grateful we broke the hot dog/s’mores cycle and threw in some yummy meals. We highly encourage you to check out this book. Take the stress out of meal planning and spend more time enjoying your trip!
